 Rhonda Garland Windows
|
"As a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as being blessed with artists as my parents, I grew up surrounded by art," Rhonda remembers. She began learning calligraphy in high school and later started learning Italic and Gothic lettering. She has worked with it in some form for the last 30 years. She was an active member of the Houston Calligraphers' Guild, co-editing their newsletter for several years. Rhonda ran a successful graphic design company for eight years before moving to Pennsylvania. She became involved with the Philadelphia Calligraphers' Society since 1999 and served as their Exhibit Chairman for the last four years. "More and more I find myself painting with watercolors. I love experimenting with color and texture and collage, especially when combined with lettering."
