Abruzzese ABRUZZESE, Alita

My artwork is most often representational, however my intention is not to copy what I see. My greatest inspiration is nature--especially water in any form and the way it reflects light as well as absorbs shadows. Trees are also a favorite subject of mine. I try to capture the mood in each scene whether it is the tranquility of a path in the woods, the coolness of the forest, the soft beauty of a fresh snowfall, or the rhythmic sound of the waves as I record an ocean scene.  I work in many media—oils, acrylics, watercolor and pastel. Each has its own characteristics that lend themselves to the requirements of the painting. I have a BS in art education from Kutztown University, a BS in math education from West Chester, and have taken graduate classes at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Bennington College in Vermont, Penn State University, and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I have worked under the tutelage of Joseph Sweeney in oils and pastels and Carol Goldman in watercolor. I taught art for 23 years in the Methacton School District in Pennsylvania.

AUSTERBERRY, Linda Rohrbach

Linda is an artist, potter and teacher. After first experiencing the fascination of working in clay as an art major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she made a lifetime commitment to the media.  Each of Linda's stoneware works expresses a flowing spontaneity, a pleasing blend of craftsmanship, a free form, and the colors and textures of nature. BECHTEL, Jill

I grew up in the rural countryside of Pennsylvania.  I am repeatedly drawn to nature and animals for my artistic inspirations.  I work in various mediums and generally like to let the subject matter dictate what medium I will use.  My goal when creating art is to capture a special charm that makes people smile.

BRUCKNER, Amy

I am a native of the Philly suburbs and have lived outside of Downingtown for the last 20 years. Creating mosaics is what I love to do more than anything, particularly integrating the personal imagery of my clients into the designs.  I began doing mosaics over 5 years ago when I studied with Gina Hubler of Design Impact Studio in Miami, Florida.  I did a few mosaics after that, but it was when I studied with Isaiah Zagar of Philadelphia Magic Gardens fame that I really took off and started creating wall-scale tile and mirror mosaics.   More recently, I studied a new technique using vitreous glass with Cynthia Fisher of Big Bang Mosaics in Massachusetts.  I started with a few commissions and Piece Of Mind Mosaics was born. www.pieceofmindmosaics.blogspot.com
